IWESEP 2011: International Workshop on Empirical Software Engineering in Practice. Nara, Japan.

Please consider submitting a paper to IWESEP 2011 in Nara, Japan. The deadline for papers is July 22, abstracts on July 15. (I am on the PC.)

The objective of the 3rd International Workshop on Empirical Software Engineering in Practice (IWESEP) is to foster the development of empirical software engineering by providing a forum where researchers and practitioners can report on and discuss about new research results and applications in this area. The workshop encourages the exchange of ideas within the international community so as to be able to understand, from an empirical viewpoint, the strengths and weaknesses of techniques and methodologies in use and new techniques and methodologies, with the expectation of furthering the field of software engineering in general.

The workshop focuses on the processes, design and structure of empirical studies as well as the results of specific studies. These studies may be original studies or replicated studies, varying from controlled experiments to field studies, from quantitative to qualitative.
